Digital lives

Dr Christine Finn spoke at what appears to have been a fascinating seminar organised by the British Library Digital Lives Research Project on 5 July.  It explored how recent advances in forensic techniques could authenticate digital objects, thereby enabling more effective curation and research.  The archives of modern writers will be digital, held in many places and formats – how do we date and place them, how do we know they are genuine?  The archaeology of computing is a key interest of Dr Finn’s.
